If this date doesn't work for you then please call and we can arrange another suitable date for a school tour.

We are a small, rural church school set in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District National Park. We offer a nurturing environment where every child is treated as an individual and their needs catered for in order for them to thrive and fulfil their potential.  Every child follows their own learning journey.

We believe in an ethos of kindness which is underpinned by our Christian Values, specifically KOINONIA, COMPASSION and RESPECT. Our mission statement Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you Ephesians 4:32, is one we live out every day with children, staff, parents, governors, volunteers and other members of our school community.

We have always put the mental health and wellbeing of our children and staff first and actively plan and promote activities to develop this. We work with a host of experts who become part of our school to build confidence and self-esteem; we attend Forest School, dance and gymnastic workshops and outdoor pursuits on Friday afternoons; we build on our social and communication skills through regular PSHE activities and we enjoy the great outdoors as much as possible, gardening and growing our own fruit and vegetables along the way.

Our curriculum is bespoke, immersive and progressive. We believe in building life skills for learning and observe our children closely to discover how they learn best and where they need help. We plan to teach and model to them problem solving and perseverance and allow them to make mistakes in a safe environment so that they can grow. We believe that learning both in and outside the classroom are of equal value and like to think we equip our children with a thirst for knowledge and adventure before they head off to high school. Children from Pott Shrigley manage the transition to high school well, despite our small size, and the schools they go on to include Poynton High School, Tytherington High School, All Hallows or Fallibroome.

If you would like to come and see what we do, then we would be delighted to welcome you to our lovely little school - simply call the school office to make an appointment.
